XDguys Extended Slide Stop
Product Description
This is another XDguys first and a first in the XD world. This extended slide stop helps to release the slide with much less effort and provides more leverage on all XD and XD(M) models, especially on the XD .45ACP *Not the .45(m) YET....
Made for everyone in mind: Guys, gals, righties, lefties, even our friend Rob who lost part of his thumb serving our Country. This extended slide release lever has been crafted with function in mind. The lever sits close to the frame, like the oem model, which reduces the likelihood of snags when drawn from a holster or when concealed.
Beware of imitations that can increase the likelihood of snagging on your clothes. This fits all XD and XD(M) models with the exception of the new XD(M) .45 (Coming very soon!): sub-compact, service and tactical including the new 2008 XD .45ACP with the thumb safety and the new XD(M) series.
This part replaces # 18 in your XD manual.

Hands down the Best first upgrade for your XD

I have been using this slide lock in competition for the last year and it has greatly reduced my reload time, and as far as reliability I shoot approx 1500 rounds a month! Thanks (Guys) for a great product.

This is a superb product. I had been looking at the other slide release, and was not impressed with the design. Too narrow, and it looks like it could snag on your clothing. I had a chance to use it in competition today. With the stock release you had to mash it. With the XD guys part you just have to slide your thumb over it and you are good to go.
It was very easy to install. It took me less than five minutes to do it.
Again this is a great part.

This thing is the cats meow! Sturdy and very well made. Had to do the old "Sling Shot" method because the OEM stop was so hard to push down. Now I just hit it with my thumb and the slide snaps closed. I LOVE IT!!!!! Great job, XDGuys! You made my favorite pistol even better.

I just recently went to a XD and found the slide stop lever very sharp to say the least (I'm more use to 1911 style). I found this site and saw lever and thought I give it a try. Much improvement and literally only took 5 min to install .

Purchased one for my wifes benefit. She had a hard time pushing the original one up to lock the slide. Now it's a breeze for her! She loves it. Install took minutes too! Thanks.

I bought the ESS in time for my course at Front Sight Institute. Item worked flawlessly, decreased reaction time and improved slide operation. It's well designed for easier access and doesn't have the sharp edge when locking the slide back.
And the customer service was excellent.
