The anodized color of this upgrade can enhance the visibility on the firing pin, which helps the operator can determine either he breaks that trigger or rack the slide. Thanks for the extra green (DUCKS) guide too.

More durable than plastic, inexpensive. I just installed mine with a minute of google and a 1/8th inch punch from lowes. This little part is an inexpensive way to increase the durability of your weapon. Striker release feels smoother too. I have the OD Green and the Silver one. They both look nice on the black slide. I prefer the OD Green because it's easier to see the striker in low light and still gives a modest customized look. For such a low price it's sort of stupid to not get one. For good measure I installed mine a few times to get the hang of it with no issues of colored finish chipping off.

This is an attractive modification that seems to help improve the contrast between the striker pen and striker spring guide. When I received the striker spring guide" it would not fit flush in the rear firing pin lock plate. I had to do some filing being careful not to scratch the anodized area that would be visible in the rear lock plate.

When I received the "Don's striker spring guide" it would not fit flush in the rear firing pin lock plate. I had to file the new striker spring guide down being careful not to scratch the anodized area that is visible in the rear lock plate.
This is an attractive modification as well as practical in that it seems to help improve the contrast between the striker pen and striker spring guide when the XD is cocked.

Installs in 2 seconds and looks very good. better than the stock plastic. Must be careful when installing as the colored finish may chip off. Anything to make your gun unique is fine by me! thanks XD guys! very fast shipping also.
